GARMIN ORC DOUBLEHANDED EUROPEANS WILL KICK OFF IN HSK LAUTTASAARI ON SATURDAY

FULL SCHEDULE PUBLISHED – 35 DOUBLEHANDED TEAMS WILL SAIL FOR THE EUROPEAN TITLE IN THREE DIFFERENT CLASSES!

We are thrilled to welcome sailors, supporters, and spectators to the Garmin ORC Doublehanded European Championship 2025, hosted by Helsingfors Segelklubb (HSK) in the beautiful city of Helsinki. From July 5th to 13th, the event promises a blend of competitive sailing, community engagement, and sustainable practices.

HSK HARBOUR IN LAUTTASAARI WELCOMES SAILORS AND SPECTATORS TO THE GARMIN ORC DOUBLEHANDED EUROPEANS

The event will kick off on Saturday 5 July with registration, measurement and complimentary activities at Helsingfors Segelklubb HSK in Lauttasaari. The OA is happy to welcome 35 DH teams from 8 different nations to race for the European title. During the first weekend of the event the Measurement Committee, lead by ORC Chief Measurer Zoran Grubiza will run safety and equipment tests in the harbour.

Event Highlights:

  • July 5–7: Registration and measurement at HSK Harbour.

  • July 5: Join the "Clean Beach" plogging event to help keep our shores pristine.

  • July 6: Explore Garmin Sailing Team boats and attend a technical seminar at the HSK Clubhouse.

  • July 7: Participate in the Tune-Up Race and enjoy the Opening Party at Restaurant Blue Peter.

  • July 8: Compete in the Short Offshore Race, followed by an aftersail gathering and daily prize giving at Solmu Brewery.

  • July 9: Prepare for the Long Offshore Race, with a skippers briefing and lunch at Restaurant Blue Peter.

  • July 12: Time to celebrate the best teams in the three classes! The prize giving, dinner and dricks at Blue Peter.
